Who loves the rain,
And loves his home,
And looks on life with quiet eyes,
Him will I follow through the storm
And at his hearth-fire keep me warm,
Nor hell nor heaven shall that soul surprise
Who loves the rain,
And loves his home,
And looks on life with quiet eye.
~Frances Shaw
How lovely.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful...must write that one down...
ReplyDeleteOh!!! I love that poem. I already have it copied down from somewhere else. (Maybe it was HDH?!! ;) ) Is it raining in Oregon today? It is clear blue sky, brimming with October sunshine, and a pleasant 72 degrees here. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh! And I love that photo. I always love a photo of a window looking inside to a warm and cosy home, especially when there's the glow of a lamp inside. (Must be that secret "Peeping Tom who hides away inside of me!;) ) It is so welcoming.--And books too?!!! Shelf loads of them. Heaven on earth!!! Thanks for sharing your little piece of home today, Susan. GOD is good!

P.S. Since you've got young grandchildren, here's a photo-op tip. Wide-eyed children framed by, and looking out of a window make really beautiful photos too!!! (Now I can't wait to see one of your cherubs!;D )
